How did you learn bonsai?

To go through things with fine-tooth comb, it may lead us to a book or two and possibly to a local club, nursery or perhaps a Bonsai Class and/or by a family member or friend. One may see demos or take workshops. Bonsai is a fantastic hobby and despite what you may think, it is not terribly difficult to get started in... Books may be checked out from the library or online (check out our books online). Along the way, more and more trees are acquired.

When there is no club or nursery nearby, one is left with books and magazines, friends, family and/or online resources. My story is similar. I saw a bonsai tree that left me with some personal wisdom. My brother learned bonsai from a nursery he worked at. I visited local nurseries and picked up material where I could but it was my brother who taught me bonsai. Thanks to my younger brother who showed and taught me all about bonsai, with hands-on practice. It has now been many, many years I have made bonsai (I also learned to, allot of things from other bonsai experts, to add to my know how).
